Hygienist Clinic

It is important to have your teeth professionally cleaned at regular intervals throughout the year, as even with regular brushing there are areas which cannot be reached leading to a build-up of plaque. Research shows regular hygienists sessions dramatically reduce the incidence of cavities and gum disease which is the number one cause of tooth loss.

Dental plaque build up has been implicated in heart disease, dementia, diabetes, rheumatoid arthritis and premature births and therefore good dental hygiene is not only important to maintain good health of your teeth and gums but for your general health too.

Benefits of visiting the Hygienist

  • Whiter and brighter teeth
  • Prevention of gum disease
  • Maintenance of good oral and dental health
  • Prevention of bad breath
  • Reduce risk factors associated with coronary heart disease
  • Suppression of dental bone loss which can lead to premature loss of teeth
  • Big and healthy smiles
